Google gets paid for sex

Yep, that’s right, Google gets $5,000 because YouTube had videos of a Brazilian couple having sex on a public beach.

The Brazilian judge who was residing over this case ruled in favour of YouTube, Globo Comunicações e Participações, and Internet Group do Brasil (iG) after the pair who were having sex, Brazilian model Daniella Cicarelli and her boyfriend, Tato Malzoni, sued YouTube because of multiple copies of the video arose on the site.

At first the judge banned YouTube, but there was a huge public outcry at this, and the judge backed down.

The judge ruled that the couple must pay court costs and legal fees, and pay Google (they run YouTube) $5,000 because since the sex was on a public beach, they didn’t have any privacy.

Although YouTube wasn’t the only place these videos, captured by paparazzi, aired. They were first distributed to media outlets, and appeared on TV show, Dolce Vita. So many copies of the video were uploaded to YouTube, they were having trouble trying to remove them all.
