iPhone fails miserably

Apple’s new mobile phone, the iPhone, has failed miserably to meet analysts predictions of total Apple sales. In the first two days of sales, AT&T only managed to get 146,000 subscribers.

AT&T, the exclusive network carrier of the iPhone, had been expected to get subscribers numbers more around 500,000 for the first two days on launch on June 29.

Andy Hargreaves, analyst for Pacific Crest, said, “The difference [between sales and activations] is going to be what was sold on eBay or activations that didn’t happen immediately. There were some problems with activations but from what we heard it was minimal.”
